This week’s edition of WIRW (Where I’ve Run Wednesday) showcasing Mission Bay here in San Diego is going to be a lot more picture heavy.
It’s been a while since Sean & I have gone down to Mission Bay for a run, but it is one of my favorite spots.
Why? Well there is a nice wide sidewalk to run on next to the beach.
Or you could always run on the beach ;).
There are always others out running, walking or biking. We even saw the Ragnar SoCal finish here last year – this year I think they finish on Coronado.
We typically go out for a 10k, but you can go all the way around the Bay for a longer run.
There are water fountains & bathrooms around the route if needed.
The main reason I love coming to Mission Bay though? Is the views. They are really amazing.
As you can see we typically come at Sunset and it never disappoints. If you come late enough, you can sometimes see the fireworks from SeaWorld too, which is pretty cool.
