As we all know, 2020 has been one heck of a year. Our lives have changed so much. In some ways for the better, in others not so much. In our case, our life slowed down, we have been home, spending quality time together, doing things around the house & actually following training plans since we aren’t running races every weekend.
I’ve had the opportunity to focus on my fitness this year, like really focus on it. I run consistently, I spin, I occasionally do strength training (that I need to do more of, LOL) and more importantly, I’m eating much much better now that we are not eating out every day.
On that note, my friends at BabbleBoxx sent me their summer Focus on Fitness box with some cool things to complement that training.
Here’s what I got:
Some meals from vegan meal service, Veestro, leggings from No Nonsense, RingHero pouch, Nature Valley Sustained Energy Bars, Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein & Zinc & Amenti Oracle Feather Heart Deck & Guide Book.
Let’s get a little deeper into each item. Full disclosure, I wasn’t able to try the Nature Valley Sustained Energy Bars or the Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein as they are not vegan.
What I was most excited to try in this box were the meals from Veestro. We have been using other meal delivery services this year but I have been contemplating getting Veestro for months now & just hadn’t pulled the trigger yet.
Veestro is the #1 Plant-Based meal delivery service in the US, (I’ve seen it on the top of many, many lists that I have looked at for vegan meal delivery). The meals are fully prepared so you just heat & serve, you can also keep them in the freezer so they don’t go bad before you can eat them and there are a lot of different options to choose from.
I got 5 meals including 1 breakfast option. The meals that I got with the exception of pasta Bolognese are not necessarily the meals I would have chosen myself.
At first I thought the meals looked really small, I’m used to eating a lot more food, but surprisingly I wasn’t hungry after lunch so that was a pleasant surprise since the calorie counts were on the lower end. I really liked the chicken in the Country Fried Chicken & the Breakfast Burrito was really yummy too.
Want to try Veestro for yourself? Use code BABBLE25 to get 25% off now through Oct 31, 2020.
The item in the box that really surprised me was the No nonsense Wide Waistband Sport Legging. These leggings were so comfortable.
They have a nice wide waistband that was super comfortable, I’m really picky about waistbands and I didn’t have to move this one around at all. I wore the leggings for a 60 minute ride on the Peloton and had no issues at all. They didn’t move & the lightweight fabric wicked away the sweat.
Best of all the no nonsense leggings are super affordable at $20 a pair. And you can use code Sport25 for 25% off, which knocks them down to just $15 a pair!
Next up is a unique product called RingHero. It’s a super cool idea if you are able to get your engagement & wedding rings off ;).
RingHero is a small 2 way stretch wristband pouch with a zippered pocket that you can use to protect your engagement/wedding and other rings while working out. RingHero keeps your rings safe and on your body so you don’t damage or lose them.
You could also use RingHero to keep keys, ear phones, earrings, pills or even coins. It’s super lightweight, felt comfortable on my wrist and is made with an odor controlling yarn so it’s unstinkable & sweat wicking. I got an animal print version but it comes in a lot of different colors/patterns.
You can save 10% on RingHero by using code BabbleBoxx10.
Next up are Nature Valley Packed Sustained Energy Bars. I used to eat Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars all the time so I was excited to see these. I was disappointed that they aren’t vegan because they have both honey & whey protein in them but for those that aren’t vegan, I think they would be a good option for a yummy snack. They sound delicious.
These Nature Valley Packed Sustained Energy Bars are packed with Almond or Peanut Butters, sunflower & pumpkin seeds and either dried cranberry or blueberries. They give you long lasting energy and are and all in one creamy, crunchy & chewy bar.
Next is the Amenti Oracle Feather Heart Deck and Guide Book: Ancient Wisdom for the Modern World by Jennifer Sodini, Illustrated by Natalee Miller from Running Press Books.
The Amenti Oracle Feather Heart Deck includes an Oracle deck of 42 unique oracle cards and brings the wisdom of Ma’at, an ancient Egyptian concept of truth & balance to the modern world.
It’s a perfect gift for any modern mystic and pairs well with tarot cards.
And last but not least is the Ancient Nutition Multi Collagen Protein & Ancient Nutrients Zinc + Probiotics.
Again because this Collagen isn’t vegan, I wasn’t able to try it out but Collagen is quite popular and supports a healthy gut, skin, hair, nails & joints.
The Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein features Collagen types I, II, III, V & X, these multiple sources of collagen come from both bovine, marine & it looks like chicken sources. It’s also gluten free & dairy free, has 9g of Protein and only 35 calories per serving.
The Zinc + Probiotic capsules are listed as being vegetarian, not vegan so I didn’t try these either. It’s a unique formula of Zinc plus probiotics, each capsule contains 20mg of enzyme activated zinc & 2 billion CFUs of probiotics, which supports healthy immune defense & healthy digestion.
All in all I’m pleased with the products in the box that I can use. The Veestro meals were yummy, the No nonsense leggings were super affordable & super comfortable and the RingHero is a cool idea and the perfect place for my house/car key.
Anything in this box catch your eye?
