It’s Day 4 of Runnylegsmas! We’ve given away some of my Runner Essentials, Electrolytes from Ultima Replenisher, a race tee shirt quilt from Project Repat and today it’s time for some awesome clothes from tasc Performance.
Thank you to tasc Performance for sponsoring today’s giveaway.
12 Days of Runnylegsmas Day 4: Tasc Performance
What makes Tasc so special is this New Orleans based company that went about creating a better feeling and natural fabric that could perform with out chemical finishes, which was unique at the time since there were no other fabrics like this!
Their Bamboo Performance Technology wicks moisture, is anti-odor, provides superior breathability, UPF 50+ Sun Protection & no Chemical Finishes. They have created 15+ unique to tasc fabrics.
We’ll get to the clothing in just a second but I just wanted to share that they are very concerned with sustainability, which they consider to be their standard.
That means that 100% of the power for their knitting & sewing facility is generated by solar & wind.
99% of all wastewater from the factory is recovered, treated & reused in a process that keeps the treated water out of the ecosystem.
And 72% of the products they make are natural fiber dominant (mostly organic cotton).
It’s Activewear for a Better Future. Sustainable, Durable, Comfortable & Functional.
They have products for both men & women, my absolute favorite product is the Nola Crop, I now have 3 of them and I wear these crops all the time. They are lightweight, super comfortable, stylish. I don’t feel like they get all sweaty when I’m running in them but I can also wear them casually as well.
tasc sent me a few pieces from their winter line to test out, I had the crops & a nola tank, but I hadn’t tried a lot of the other products.
I got a Recess Sports Bra, which is super comfortable! I haven’t had a chance to run in it yet, because I was sick last week but it is a silky feeling material which a strappy back. I got a size small and it fits me perfectly.
I also got a pair of the Allways 7/8 Pocket Leggings, again in a size small. Super comfortable, not too tight around the waist and with a pocket on the right leg.
I also got a quarter zip long sleeve. Super comfortable, a little too tight in the neck for me but that was because I am really weird about tight things around the neck.
And then they sent me a new to me color of the Allways Crop Tank. I mentioned this before but it’s my favorite piece that tasc makes! Again, I got a small in this and it’s perfect for me!
I haven’t tried the men’s line of course, but they have full line up of both athletic gear & more casual clothing too with polos & more biz casual looking pants & shorts.
This is different than on the women’s side where there aren’t nearly as many work appropriate (in my case) pieces.
Have you tried sustainable clothing before? What do you think?
